Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is made up of volunteers from tenants and residents groups who are elected annually at the AGM. They meet monthly to discuss the running of the organisation. Committee members serve on sub groups which take responsibility for specific aspects of the organisation and work with East Lothian Council to develop housing policy.
The newly formed Executive Committee is focused on working in partnership with various tenants’ support groups and organisations to build fairer and safer communities. Their clear aim is to deliver an effective consultation and communication strategy that gives their tenants a strong voice in helping to influence decisions being made by East Lothian Council on a range of topics including the quality of their home, management of their neighbourhoods, rent consultations and local initiatives.
There is an exciting year ahead with opportunities to continue building on all the excellent work and achievements. Executive Community will continue to work in partnership across various groups and organisations helping to continually influence the decisions being made, raising the living standards, level of service and performance in our local communities.

Chairman of our Executive Committee – Jim Herron.
He has worked in management role for over 30 years and gained an extensive working knowledge and expertise in supporting the most vulnerable groups in our society. He strongly believes that the work done by Executive Committee should contribute towards building safer and more vibrant communities by encouraging our tenants to actively participate and help promote local partnerships and groups. Jim’s aim is to ensure that the elected Executive Committee is fully supported over the coming year and provide a platform for delivering improved services for our tenants and higher living standards in our local communities.
