Group Activities
2019 ended on a positive note. A special committee meeting held with key stakeholders saw positive action in taking forward the issue of adoption of roads. 2020 gets off to a good start with developers now having submitted all paperwork to ELC to move this forward.
Hallhill TRA current activity includes participating in the Planning Consultation process regarding Hallhill North and Hallhill Development Spott Road Dunbar. These developments will have a major impact on the road network – increased traffic volume, noise, and use of the A1 junction (Hospital Road) all of which present as risks to having ‘safe roads’ . Safer Roads is priority for the Area Partnership Board.
A big thank you to Stevie Tait and Malcolm Smail, two of our committee who have been very active during this Covid-19 lockdown. They have organised beetle drives, street bingo, balloon sculpting lessons for residents / tenants on a Thursday evening coinciding with the ‘clap for carers’ Stevie and Malcolm will be continuing the bingo sessions on Thursday evenings.
